Anne Frank is one of most famous stories from the holocaust. She has educated so many people about being Jewish during World War II Her diary as been read by many people. Her life story serves as a eye opener for what really happened to Jewish people during World War II. Anne Frank wrote all kinds of things in her journal. Anne wrote in her diary from June 14, 1942 to August 1, 1944. Anne first wrote a story about an imaginary friend named kitty( Anne Frank biography 2). Later that day she wrote “I hope I will able to confide everything to you as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support” (Anne Frank Biography 2). Anne Frank was in the secret annex for about two years. The Frank family entered the annex on July 6, 1942 and was raided on August 4, 1944. On July 5, 1942 Margot received an official summons to report to a nazi work camp. The very next day the Franks went into hiding in a secret attachment ( secret annex) behind Otto Frank’s jam factory. There were ten people in total living the annex. Anne frank’s life in the annex was not easy she had to keep silent all day. The residents could only use the w.c. (wash coslet) after all the workers left. To make it even worse, they had to divide food for about a single family into enough for ten people. The only one who survived the war and was Otto frank. The only way the people in the annex could get food and news was by Miep Gies and Kleiman. The residents of the annex did not step out of that room until August 4, 1944. On August 4, 1944 the secret annex was raid by German soldiers that were acting on a tip from a dutch informant. After the raid most of the people were shipped to Westbrook then onto Auschwitz.
