Imagine not having the government on your side, not being able to fit in with the people around you. Imagine going through slavery. Not being able to go to the same school as the person who lived across the street from you. That would be horrible right? Imagine not having the same equity as someone who is no better than you in anyway. What if its only because of your race? What is you had a community where you finally feel safe and you have family and friends that live all around you, but still not in the best living environment. Then Imagine having that all taken away from you and not having anywhere to go and cannot say anything to stop it. The Government of Nova Scotia impacted residents of Africville in a negative way. The city placed a dump in their community and left them in an unhealthy living environment, forced many people to leave family and friends, and left everyone with only memories good and bad.

In the movie “Mar Adentro”, this separation between Church and state, or lack thereof, is brought to attention through the court battle between the state and Ramón Sampedro. Ramón Sampedro was a sailor who became a quadriplegic during an accident diving into the ocean water causing a permanent spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed. Over twenty years of being paralyzed from the neck down, Ramón decides to receive legal permission to end his life through assisted suicide, specifically Euthanasia.

Its species name "biloba" refers to the two-distinct lobes, which is characteristic of the leaves. These trees have survived over millions of years due to their resistance of disease, pests, fires, and air pollution. They can grow in almost any condition, which includes sun, shade, heat, cold, smog, pollution, wind, and humidity (Foster, 1996). The ginkgo tree can grow 75 to 100 feet tall with a trunk up to 8 feet in diameter, They have a distinctive fan- shaped leaf, which are bright green in the spring. Valeria Arredondo is the proud 19 year old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Cleo and Rosario Arredondo. She was born on March 10th 1998 in Torrence, California. Valeria has two older siblings, Guillermo and Celeste and a younger brother named Alan. She began her education in Palmdale California at Cimarron Elementary School then moving to Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 12. In Corpus Christi she attended Elliot Grant Middle. She continued her education at Mary Carroll High School where she prepared herself for college by taking advanced placement courses such as English and Spanish which gained her collegiate level hours. In order to promote excellent patient care and improve our department’s services scores, we must all adhere to using AIDET consistently every time with every patient. AIDET is a communication tool that has been researched and proven to improve customer service. It is a job requirement and an expectation that every employee uses AIDET for every patient/family encounter.
The capital of Washington is Olympia, thought that was not always its name. In fact, for four years between the founding of Olympia, 1846, and 1850, Olympia was called Smithster, named after two people named Smith and Sylvester who were early inhabitants of Olympia. The name was changed because of the scenic Olympic Mountains creating a nice view north of the city. In 1853, Isaac Stevens appeared as Washington's first territorial governor. Isaac seemed to be a very bright man, and very able. He was first in his class in graduation, and he proved himself to be hardworking and able to handle many tasks given to him at the same time. Truly a first governor to be proud of, even if he was a little short. The current capitol building of Olympia did not appear until 1928, but the one before it was built from 1880 to 1882 and served as the town's courthouse until 1905, when it was made the Capitol building.

The book’s genre exemplifies a coming-of-age historical fiction story. The narrator, a young girl named Scout Finch, describes the lessons she and her brother Jem learn when their father, a lawyer named Atticus, defends an African American man who stands accused of raping a white woman. The novel’s premise revolves around the efforts of a father raising his children and guiding them in their moral development. Along the way, the book deals with the themes of courage, prejudice and maturity. These three concepts are defined differently by Atticus than by most of the other people in the town where he lives. According to Atticus, courage means doing what remains as right and resisting what remains as wrong, even if other people oppose you. In contrast to the prejudice of the townspeople, Atticus believes it important to treat everyone equally. Maturity, in Atticus’ view, refers to having a sense of conscience and seeking to protect those who remain innocent. As these definitions show, Atticus Finch displays a strong sense of ethics. His goal as a parent remains to pass his values on to his children. This paper will argue that Scout and Jem learn the true meanings of courage, prejudice and maturity through the influence of their father and the example he sets for them.

The story of the Hokulea, a model of the first canoes that brought the first Polynesians to Hawaii, is a story that restores cultural pride and history to Hawaiians. Her legacy was almost extinct, but survived and restored the relationship that society has with its island home. More than 600 years had gone by without seeing one of these canoes, until artist Herb Kane thought to build a sailing canoe just like the ones his ancestors sailed (“The Story of Hokulea”). Responsible for being the cornerstone of Polynesian culture, the Hokulea has evolved over many years and has helped revive a heritage that was almost lost.
