1. Describe where Ann Marie, Kahlil, and Anabel are sitting in relation to one another. 2. Why might Ann Marie and Kahlil be sitting next to each other? 3. Why might Ann Marie and Anabel be seated so far apart? 4. If the teacher changed her classroom by trading in tables for desks and faced them all towards the front of the room, how might that change the class for students?
There are many women who are currently in an abusive relationship, or have been in an abusive relationship. The most common reason these women do not leave their abuser is because they are scared, financial, or family reasons. Amy McGee would be alive today to tell her own story if her situation was handled differently.
The case of Anne Gunter fits the modern stereotype of witchcraft accusations and the trials that resulted from them; a young girl falsely claims that an older woman or women are causing her harm using supernatural abilities they have gained through nefarious means, sending the community into an uproar. Hysteria runs rampant through the community and the poor women are harshly punished – the formulaic story plays out similarly throughout popular media, must notably in Arthur Millers’ ‘The Crucible’. Yet in the case of young Anne Gunter from North Moreton, there is a deviation from the “standard plot” of a witchcraft trial – the women are acquitted and Miss Gunter’s subterfuge is revealed. The fact that the allegations are not only proven to be false, but a confession of such is given by Anne Gunter allows the focus to shift from the actual Gunter case to what factors played into why people were accused of witchcraft. What we can infer from the Gunter case is that people in England were accused of witchcraft because of three major things: lack of power, prestige, and plenty within society.
I will be evaluating the case of Angela and Adam. Angela is a white 17 year old female and Adam is her son who is 11 months old (Broderick, P., & Blewitt, P., 2015). According to Broderick, P., & Blewitt, P., (2015) Angela and her baby live with her mother, Sarah, in a small rental house in a semirural community in the Midwest. Adam’s father, Wayne, is estranged from the family due to Sarah refusing to allow him in the house however, Angela continues to see him without her mother’s permission which is very upsetting for Sarah. Angela dropped out of high school and struggles raising her son (Broderick, P., & Blewitt, P., 2015). With all that is going on in Angela and Sarah’s life right now their relationship has become strained and hostile which

ACT would like to highlight Janet Westerlind as the Volunteer for the Month of September. Janet has been volunteering 4 hours every Monday at Second Act thrift store for over 1 ½ years. When she first started, she was looking for a way to do some good for the women and girls in need. She says it’s the treasures she finds and the fun she has working with Amy that keeps her here. Janet tags and hangs clothing and unloads items from the donor’s cars. She says it’s a great spot to volunteer if you like to work. “It’s not easy work for an eighty-three year old, but you’re doing a lot of good for the community,” she says with a wink. Second ACT is located at 12519 S. Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers and they’re open Monday thru Saturday from 9am-8pm
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, Miss Betsy Cline is a murder. She may come across as an innocent young lady, but she has committed a crime that she must pay the price for. Betsy by the evidence I have, should be tried for second degree murder. You all know the saying,"You do the crime, you do the time."
...d change if I was the teacher in this BIC class would be having more structured lessons. The class was comprised of two sixth graders, a seventh grader, and an eighth grade student, all who seemed to be doing the same curriculum. The teachers would have different subjects to teach, especially with three teachers. Lessons could be one on one and be extensive in content, the lessons could be very engaging promoting higher order thinking skills.
-I chose this topic to write about because the roles of woman have changed from days of the past to today’s women roles. Being that I am a woman in today’s society I couldn’t imagine what it would have been like to be a woman of the past. The two women I have decided to compare are Marie Antoinette because she was born the same month and day I was born and Cathay Williams a.k.a. William Cathay who was the first African American woman to enlist in the U.S. Army; these two completely opposite woman I think would be an interesting topic. I will give you details about both women and compare their roles with each other, and how did their role affect other women during their time periods. I will also try to imagine, what both woman would think
“I’m sorry, I did not mean to do it.” These were the last words of historical figure, Marie Antoinette, right before being executed for treason. Being viewed as very scandalous in her day, she lived a very interesting life: making the famous quote, “Let them eat cake,” and being accused of treason.
Rosa Lee Cunningham is a 52-year old African American female. She is 5-foot-1-inch, 145 pounds. Rosa Lee is married however, is living separately from her husband. She has eight adult children, Bobby, Richard, Ronnie, Donna (Patty), Alvin, Eric, Donald (Ducky) and one child who name she did not disclose. She bore her eldest child at age fourteen and six different men fathered her children. At Rosa Lee’s recent hospital admission to Howard University Hospital emergency room blood test revealed she is still using heroin. Though Rosa Lee recently enrolled in a drug-treatment program it does not appear that she has any intention on ending her drug usage. When asked why she no longer uses heroin she stated she doesn’t always have the resources to support her addiction. Rosa Lee is unemployed and receiving very little in government assistance. She appears to
The disappearance of Amelia Earhart is one of the most mysterious occurrences to ever happen, and has caused numerous speculations. Growing up, she had a vast interest in aviation. Marie Antoinette was born on November 2 1755 in Vienna, Austria. She was the fifteenth and second last child of Maria Theresa empress of Austria and Holy Roman Emperor Francis I. She lived a very carefree life and received the best education which existed at that time in the 18th century. She focused her life on religious and moral principles while her brothers concentrated on academic education. After the completion of the seven years war in 1763 the leaders were involved in strengthening their position and one common way that they used was to enter into matrimonial alliances. In 1965 the French emperor Louis Ferdinand died leaving his 11 year old grandson Louis Auguste as heir to the French throne. It was at this moment that Maria Antoinette was promised in marriage to Louis Auguste. Their marriage on May 16 1770 brought Maria Antoinette to settle down in France with her husband.

I believe it is equally important to have a classroom that is student-centered. I do not imagine my classroom arranged with rows of seated desks all facing the front of the classroom. Instead, I think that students should have the opportunity to work amongst their peers in small groups, studying a wide array of topics. Students will not be required to focus their attention on on...
For teachers to be effective their classrooms should be open, encouraging and safe environments, where a strong student-teacher relationship can be achieved (Marsh, 2008). Students should be treated with respect in order to meet their need for belonging (Eggen&Kauchak, 2010). The layout of the room and resources need to be well considered allowing different areas for different activities (Bennett &Smilanich, P. 1994) keeping in mind space for easy movement and creative work. Seating arrangements, noise level and room temperature all need to be taken into account when planning the classroom to maximise productive lea...
