According to a report by PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals),” this causes great stress and discomfort to the animals (2011).” The animals may not die, but they are scared and maimed for the rest of their lives. Practices such as this are still used today even though there are cheaper and more conclusive ways of conducting this testing; in vitro (test tube), genomic, computer modeling technique, and human volunteering. These research methods are more humane, cost effective alternatives to animal testing. “The harms to the animal conflict with perceived societal benefits that will result if ... ... middle of paper ... ...ter all they are just animals-who cares? It is clearly an issue that many people are passionate about. In my opinion I believe that using animals for testing is unethical, it should be substituted by alternate methods and consumer products should be stop being tested on animals for our benefit. Animal experimentation is the use of live animals for the purposes of biological, psychological and medicine technology research (Monamy, 6). A method for research is also vivisections. They are the partial or full dissections of animals for the re... ... middle of paper ... ..., it is crucial for our race to advance from cruel animal tests to more ethical research methods.
Certain animal rights groups have acted out with violence against people who believe that animal experimentation is not a bad thing. There are some laws that have been passed to protect animals like the Act of 1986 which makes sure animals suffer as little as possible; and the Cruelty to Animals Act which was passed in 1876 (Franklin). People are making an effort to save as many animals as possible when trying to experiment. Animal experimentation may be very harmful to animals and inhumane but it is the only thing right now that is helping to discover new medical advances. Animal experimentation has been used to save many people’s lives and other animal lives.
This essay will discuss how people deal with animals and what animal rights people should respect and protect. What have people done to animals? Humans hunt animals and use animals as the subject of experiments. Firstly, it would be unreasonable to choose to deprive an animal life to serve a non-vital human interest. For example, hunting.

In the past, it was only an issue of the human treatment toward work animals and house hold pets. Now organizations, including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have formed in hopes to stop scientific experimentation on animals. According to be poll by the Associated Press in November 1995, two-thirds of all Americans believer that animals have just as much right to live without suffering as humans. What do you believe? Is animal research ethical, is it accurate, and are there other methods available to take the place of animal research?
Alternatives to animal research, clinical value of animal testing, human domination over animals and their greater moral significance, exposure of animals to needless suffering and abuse are the questions that are frequently raised by antivivisectionists. Although some arguments of animal rights activists might appear persuasive and logical, animal experimentation should not be abolished, since its benefits to people are immeasurable. The first experiments involving live animals were conducted in the third century BC (Kiple et al. 23). Since then a large number of tests on animals have... ... middle of paper ...
Animals do not deserve this kind of life style were they are abused and neglected they should feel safe and love and for this reason is why people should stop animal cruelty. Animal cruelty makes animals suffer when hurt; cause owners to abandoned there animals and left homeless and also causes some animals to be put into dangerous situations. “The infliction of physical pain, suffering or death upon an animal goes back to ancient times”(Animal cruelty history). For several years animals have been abused and neglected for unreasonable purposes. The human society of the United States believes that “People with emotional problems may beat, shoot, or stab animals or set them on fire”(Animal abuse and neglect).
There is a need to stop abusers from acting in such a horrific manner–preventing the neglect and suffering of the animals. What causes animal abusers to act in such a cruel way towards animals? How are cases of animal abuse being managed, and how should cases be handled? Finally, does the status of animals in society contribute to the rate of their abuse? This paper seeks to answer these questions and give possible solutions to end the malicious practice of animal abuse.
I say, as human we should rely on humans and on our own aspects. These animals that we use to do research and test on for medical purposes have been changing throughout history since the BC era. Gandhi once said “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judge by the way its animals are treated” (Animal Testing and Medicine). If the human society does live up to what Gandhi said, then we should have a good moral value. I agree with Gandhi statement, many animals are tested on, have been in cruel situation and so on, but testing on animals is wrong choice.
