Animal Testing is the use of animals in research lab to test experiments or products made by a company, usually cosmetics. The use of animals for testing cosmetics, medicines and other things is inhuman. The way the workers treat the animals with aggressiveness and cruelty. It goes against our morals and ethics; it is not right what they do to the animal. It strips the animals from their basic rights; just like humans, animals have rights also. This article argues the preservation of species and the endangerment of certain species, animal rights and morals and ethics of a man. Many animals that are being tested on are endangered species. All around the world, 10,000,000 to 100,000,000 animals are being used for different drugs and different purposes. Many organizations such as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have spoken against the British Royal Society that claim every medical achievement in the 20th Century is from Animal research. However, PETA believes that there is no need for animal testing and that it is cruel (The UK legislation: A criticism, 2004). Some might argue that animal testing is unethical and it immoral. It is not right to kidnap a man and experiment on him against his will, so why is it allowed to happen to an animal. In the United States 65,000 dogs are used for animal testing, these dogs are purpose-bred for experiments and are sold by either Class A dealers that breed their dogs and are legal or Class B dealers who steal dogs or pick up stray dogs and sell them in horrible conditions, such as putting them in feces-infested cages, etc… (Gillham, 2006).
