While some may agree that our characteristics are non related what so ever, horses and humans have more in common than you think. Horses relate to humans by sharing similarities in internal structures, muscles, bones, senses and emotions.
First, horses relate to humans internally by sharing similar characteristics. The lungs of the horses are very similar to those of humans; it contains a large left and right lobe. The lobes of the liver are similar in both species; however, the horse has a bile duct that empties into the duodenum. Unlike humans, horses do not have a gallbladder. Horses also have the small intestines as a major organ but the major difference is that unlike humans, the adult horses intestines is an average of about 70 feet long. Muscles in the horse are similar to the humans with a fast twitch, which can be associated with sprinting, as well as a slow twitch. Both horses and humans have cardiac, smooth, and skeletal muscle. The heart of a horse is similar to the heart of a human being, containing four chambers and heart valves; however, the cardiac muscle of a horse is larger than a persons. Unlike humans, interpretations of an EKG device and other diagnostics are not appropriate for horses because their synchrony of cardiac muscle contraction is very swift. Due to large smooth and skeletal muscles, horses are able to perform better in regards to their endurance and strength. When comparing both species to a smooth muscular system, the horse is more simple than that of a regular persons. For example, since humans are omnivores their smooth muscle system is more complex, thus helping them digest both plants and meat. However, with horses being herbivores, their smooth muscle system is more simple because it helps digest the producers consumed by this
