Analyzing My Dreams
Sigmund Freud proposed that our dreams consist of our unconscious thoughts and images. Additionally Freud explained that there are two parts to a dream the manifest content, the obvious parts of the dream, and the latent content, the hidden meanings of the dream. All four of my dreams were quite bizarre, when I first thought about them but I was only thinking about the manifest content. Once I began to uncover the latent content I could see the patterns and connections not just between the dreams but my own life. I dreamed for the past month and half and throughout I figured out plenty about my thoughts, my fears, and the way I dream. Though my four dreams have different plots, settings, and characters there are many connections between them. The dreams which I had all related to recent events in my life and the moods of the dreams were based on my emotions and feelings on those events.

When I look at my four dreams together and the way I described them, I see that the way I dream is the same. I am always a participant in the dream and I am always myself. But the unusual thing is that I am also the dreamer, overlooking the dream while it is happening. They include either family or friends, the exception of my fourth dream. As I have repeated many times, they all have problems and worries which I had recently experienced. They included events that happened to me or events that I had imagined happening to me. Its fascinating and frightening that we have the ability to unconsciously imagine and have thoughts about problems and events that happened in our life. Our mind has the ability to uncover fears that we would have never even thought we had. It shows us resolutions, gives us closure and a verdict. I had never imagined that a simple 100 minutes of dreaming could help me discover my problems and
