Winn "TV Addiction" clarifies the meaning of addiction. She gives cases of addictions like drug and liquor. She likewise discusses why addictions are terrible. She additionally discusses how and why TV is a habit. For instance, Winn says, “television experience allows the participant to blot out the real world and enter into a pleasurable and passive mental state”(608).
