This quote construes the movie’s argument by emulating the individual mental obstacles that the characters will face. Patrick “Pat” Solatano Jr., and Tiffany Maxwell, two residents of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both suffering from a variety of problems, such as their psychotic disorder, crummy relationship experience, dealing with personal emotions, and simply the act of dealing with, plus confronting their dilemmas. In the face of their support systems and misanthropist, these two mainly tolerate dysfunctional marriage problems also the effort to cope with everything they're experiencing. Silver Linings Playbook, directed by David O. Russell, illustrates how one corrupt person can nourish themselves or someone just like themselves no matter what their own circumstances are.
Pat Jr., a single-minded individual, who experiences disturbing marriage problems. Although Pat seemingly thinks that his marriage with Nikki is the best thing going for him that turns out to be an epic fail. After witnessing his wife cheating on him he nearly beats her lover to death. As a result, of this action, Pat was not sent to a prison but sent to a mental facility for eight months, and doctors diagnosed him with a bipolar disorder. His courageous attitude and dedication drives him to reconnect with Nikki after being released. Pat’s mother and father attempts to have Patrick just focus on getting better and controlling his mood swings, but his main focus is to get his wife back. There is no one that can stop Patrick from doing what he sets his mind on, not a friend or family ...

To conclude, Patrick and Tiffany go through extreme measures to get a shot at the Silver Linings. Pat is being impelled by everyone in his surroundings slowing him down to fix his relationship. Tiffany, on the other hand, is dealing with her marriage difficulties, but in the wrong fashion. Had they’ve been less selfish and stuck up; perhaps Pat and Tiffany could have come up with a solution for each other sooner to cope with their problems. Silver Linings Playbook, directed by David O. Russell, highlights the effectiveness of one troubled person to another. When you’re down bad and fucked up do not be afraid to reach out for help from someone else no matter how they differ from you, besides, blessings come without warning in any form or shape.
The theme of this play is centered around time; the value of the little time we have been given and how that time should be used to live for what is right and what truly matters.

When told in High School that he was too small to play baseball, he chose not to join the chess team, but lift weights and play football instead. Headstrong and filled with hubris, he would decide his course and stick with it. While meeting with the head coach of ASU’s football team he announced to his superior, “Coach, you can play me or not play me, but I’m only going to be here four years. And then I’ve got things to do with my life (Page 71-72).” Running his own show, he refused to let the world get in his way.
Roger, Bethany, and Steve and Gloria make decisions based on their beliefs for survival, but ultimately, they learn to teach themselves to create their dreams into reality. The Daily Mail articulates that, “A tender and hopeful story that shows how, with friendship and the occasional little act of rebellion, there can still be laughter after tragedy.” This emphasizes the author’s observation on people’s belief in giving up because of their past experiences. Coupland incorporates his characters – Roger, Bethany, Steve and Gloria – within his book to illustrate that giving up in life has its consequences; ultimately, their lack of success makes them experience different opportunities while coping with their difficult past that impacts their future. As a result, their motivation to explore the world from a different perspective increases, causing ensuing changes towards their surrounding lifestyle.
Silver Linings Playbooks tells the story of Pat Solitano Jr. (played by Bradley Cooper), a high school teacher diagnosed with bipolar disorder who is trying to get his life back together. The movie opens as Pat is released from a psychiatric hospital after eight months of treatment and moves back in with his parents. He is determined to get back together with his wife, Nikki, despite all the signs that say she does not want to be with him - such as the restraining order she filed against him. Pat meets recently widowed Tiffany Maxwell (played by Jennifer Lawrence), who is suffering from depression and overcoming a sex addiction that ensued from the death of her husband. Tiffany offers to help deliver Pat’s letters to Nikki if he enters a dance competition with her. As the movie goes on, Pat and Tiffany’s relationship progresses and they learn to cope with their issues.
It taught me a lot like how a family should be and how a family should not be. The play makes you think wow this can really relate to me as a high school student and athlete. Linda needs to learn to speak her mind no matter what her husband says because people have rights and she should be able to talk about what she thinks is going on with her family. “When Linda converses with her husband it’s almost as if se walking on eggshells and almost that she is taking to a frail eggshell that is her husband’s mental state.” (Source 2). Nothing Linda says to try to help her husband will work because she is someone who gets under her skin and makes it a lot worse to willy but too anyone else she is doing anything in her power to help him much like and other wife would do for their husband. A couple weeks after willy dies after all that the family has been through with him it’s a very sad dad but the family is very mad at him still so it is a very hard position to be in and I know I would never want to be to in the position that this family is in. willy was a very mean and angry person to his family and had a lot of stress going on in his life this is why we need to realize that all he wanted was to make his family happy but it was just something he could not do so he gave up and just took all of his anger out on
American Psycho is a savage account of a wealthy investment banker in the late 80s that commits heinous acts of murder, rape, and torture. Although on the surface, American Psycho seems as though it is just another horror story, it actually has a much deeper message. This story is a harsh critique of a superficial Wall Street society in the late 80s that was rampant with materialism and greed. This is the society in which the main character Patrick Bateman lives–where appearance, material possessions, and status define a person. This superficial existence leaves him hollow and dead inside and turns him into a psychopathic killer. A society such as this, devoid of any morality, inevitably creates psychopaths such as Bateman. The film shows an excellent portrayal of a vacant, nihilistic killer with no feelings or emotions. However, there is something more to the story that the film did not quite capture. The book seems to not only be a satirical take on this society, but a tragedy as well. Recreating the dinner scene with his secretary Jean shows that underneath the surface Patrick Bateman is, indeed, a human being with real feelings and emotions, and that it is a great tragedy that this superficial society has turned him into a monster.

He knew that she was pregnant and still asked for a divorce and was having an affair. He was only going to send money to his kid. Patrick was abusive physically and emotionally.
No matter how hard they try, there are some people who cannot get ahead in life. Walter Lee Younger is a man who is frustrated with his current position in life, and every disappointment he has encountered thus far. Although he tries to be a loving man, sometimes he does not know how to show the idea of love, 'Sometimes...sometimes...I don't even know how to try' (Hansberry 89). His position in life can be regarded as symbolic of every black male struggling to provide for his family by any means necessary. Although Walter has a job, it seems inadequate for his survival. As a result, he has become frustrated and lacks good judgement. Throughout this play Walter searches for the key ingredient that will make his life blissful. His frustrations stem from him not being able to act as a man and provide for his family and grasp hold of his ideals to watch them manifest into a positive situation. Walter Lee Younger, a man who is vehement for his family, has many ambitions in life, and dreams of the biggest dreams out of anyone else in the play.

Pat had been sent to a psychiatric residential facility as a plea bargain not to have to serve time for committing a violent crime. Pat walked in on his wife having sex with another teacher he worked with while their wedding song was playing on the radio. Pat reacted violently and beat the teacher with tenure as Pat refers to him. Pat’s world has been turned upside down and when his mother picks him up from the facility eight months later Pat is going home to live with his parents.
