Consuming Anabolic Steroids can lead to muscle enlargement, enhanced metabolism, overall recovery, and increased stamina. While the good for this drug include a doctor’s prescription to prevent cancer the bad leads to, bodybuilders specifically, becoming dependent and addicted to the drug possibly leading to overdose.
History of Controlled Substance Scientists first discovered the effect of anabolic steroids as they injected laboratory animals with the drug and realized their skeletal muscle began to grow exponentially. This discovery led to athletes -primarily bodybuilders and weightlifters- abusing the compounds for personal gains.

Positive Uses of Controlled Substance (If Any) Doctors have the authority to prescribe anabolic steroids for individuals with hormonal issues- like delayed puberty- and diseases that cause cancer and other health issues which can lead to their health improving.
Negative Impact of Controlled Substance It is commonly known that along good there is typically bad, so while anabolic steroids have the ability to cure specific patient’s needs the abuse of the drug is the major negative. The main scenario for this to occur is individuals attempting to enhance their appearance and therefore choose to use anabolic steroids but later leads to abusing the drug. The main three methods for consuming the drug(or any drug in general) enclude: cycling, stacking, and pyramiding. These methods are all different as cycling consists of taking the drug for a period of time, taking a break for a period, then restarting. While stacking is the action of combining different steroids for each dose. And finally pyramiding is the action of slowly increasing how often and the amount of the drug each time till a “peak amount” is reached which leads the abuser to, then, gradually come off the drugs.
