On John Stossel’s Fox News Hour, War on the Little Guy he addresses the rules and regulations that small businesses must follow to continue operation. Many regulations mentioned are small and can be easily fixed, others such as having to have a license to give segaway tours, cost a lot and are difficult to resolve. Washington D.C based “Segs in the City” is a segaway company who provides tours of downtown D.C for a cost. Many of their tour guides are fabulous, but do not have a license, which is required by the government because of privacy issues. The obtaining of the license cost upwards of 200 dollars and can be a rigorous process, like Ashley Krapacs experienced. Even though it is a difficult thing to go through, it is beneficial to obtain a license because giving a tour of the nation’s capital is not something everyone meets the requirements for, and having honest and trustworthy employees is a must. …show more content…

“Segs in the City” hires people from all around the country to become tour guides for their company. It is beneficial for these employees to have licensure because if they say anything they are not supposed to they can be fined and fired. If a heavily guarded and secret building was exposed by a tour guide they would have ruined a national secret, which is why all tour guides need to be tested to determine if they are responsible and meet the necessary criteria.
