Macbeth had been encountered by three witches that told him and Banquo of their future, banquo's son is to be king someday, and macbeth was to become king and take Duncan's place only if he were to kill him. Initially macbeth wanted to let things play out on their own, but his wife Lady Macbeth was fixated on the crown and wanted end Duncan's life after he came to greet Macbeth at their home. Banquo and Macbeth meet three witches after defending Scotland against a rebellion. These witches represent evil and they are messengers of the devil. They are one of the factors that affect Macbeth and cause him to enter into a life of evil. They had fought nobly and were very excited. They could not believe their eyes and ask if they had "eaten from the insane root" and were having hallucinations. The witches prophesize that Macbeth, Thane of Fife will soon earn the title, Thane of Cawdor and after that become king of Scotland. Macbeth is "wrapt" in thought about this. At first he wonders if this oracle has any merit. But the true thought of it makes him wonder and starts his early thoughts of conspiracy. He expresses these thoughts to his wife, Lady Macbeth, in a letter.
At the starting of the story, Macbeth and future victim Banquo bump into three odd looking witches which tell Macbeth three things. The three witches tell Macbeth that he will become King of Cawdor, become in Glamis, and he shall become King hereafter. After this exciting news his evil intentioned wife, Lady Macbeth, convinces the brave warrior who has just been promoted, Macbeth, to murder the powerful King Duncan. As Macbeth becomes successful in Murdering the King, Macbeth starts to become more careless regards to his best friend, Banquo. Because of selfishness, Macbeth has started to think about himself and he is not

I then heard a bell out of nowhere but I did not get where it was coming from. Macbeth then walks into the room. (Next morning) The next morning there was someone banging on the castle gates. The guard let the men in and they ask if the king has awoken. They came to get the king so the king can go to the next place he has to go. Macbeth replies he has not awoken yet. Macduff goes to check on the king and when he comes out he states that the king is dead. Macduff asks to ring the alarm bell. The guards wake up with blood on them and their swords which makes it seems like they murdered the king. Macbeth states that he was so angry he killed the guards. In William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the play focuses on Macbeth, a Scottish thane from the upper ends of society and nobility. At the beginning of the play, he is introduced with both respect and awe as he fights bravely in battle and murders the former Thane of Cawdor. Upon returning home from battle, Macbeth is introduced to three witches who deliver unexpected prophecies to him. He is informed by the witches that not only will he be king as well as other prophecies that will shape the outcome of his future. In William Shakespeare’s play, Macbeth, the three witches predict aspects of Macbeth’s life.
In the beginning of the play, Macbeth is portrayed as a courageous and well-respected soldier who is loyal to his King and country. He is described by one of King Duncan's men as “brave Macbeth.” As a result of his bravery on the battlefield, Duncan decides to reward Macbeth with a new title – the Thane of Cawdor – as the last Thane was proven to be disloyal; however, Macbeth is unaware of this, and this creates tension in the audience. The opening scenes show that Macbeth is a powerful and courageous man who is not naturally inclined to do wrong, but is capable of being brutal when he needs to be. The meeting with the witches also reveal that Macbeth is a very ambitious man who craves an even greater power. There is contrast between Macbeth’s and Banquo’s attitudes towards the witches’ prophecies. Whilst Banquo dismissed the witches’ prophecies, Macbeth was “rapt withal.” This shows that Macbeth has thought about being “king hereafter.” Macbeth's first soliloquy reveals his deep desire to be king. His soliloquy also reveals that he would do anything to achieve it.
In the play of “Macbeth”, Shakespeare gradually and effectively deepens our understanding of the themes and most importantly the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The main theme of Macbeth is ambition, and how it compels the main characters to pursue it. The antagonists of the play are the three witches, who symbolise the theme appearance and reality. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s relation is an irony throughout the play, as most of their relation is based on greed and power. This is different from most of Shakespeare’s other plays, which are mostly based on romance and trust. There is also guilt that leads Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to the final consequences of the play. As the progresses, the constant changes in Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are exposed.
When Macbeth was off at war, and told Lady Macbeth that the witches greeted him as Thane of Cawdor, and King of Scotland before he received those titles, she was probably scheming on how to fulfill those before he returned home. Once home, they had King Duncan stay at Dunsinane. Lady Macbeth then b-tches at her husband and ridicules his masculinity in order to make him commit murder (Friedlander). Macbeth reluctantly murders Duncan, even though he wanted to wait and have it all play out without killing anyone. When he went to the well to wash off his hands he speaks of his remorse, and lady Macbeth finds out that he did not implicate the guards, so she tells him to go do it.
The strive of an ambition for power can be very tempting, but one should be careful on how thirsty they get, because it could be just that power that they are striving for that could lead to their downfall. This is shown in William Shakespeare’s tragic play Macbeth. Macbeth is a brave kind hearted soldier who is loyal to his king until he meets three witches. They give him prophecies of the future and this embarks him on a path full of regrets. In Macbeth, Shakespeare develops the idea that when one is confronted with circumstances they can be affected in different ways.
In Shakespeare's most graphic play, Macbeth, he presents a continued theme of greed and remorse. Macbeth and Banquo, who were two successful soldiers for king Duncan during the medieval period in Scotland. After a big battle, Macbeth is met by three strange women, who initiate his downfall by telling Macbeth a prophecy that he will be king. Once Macbeth's wife gets news of the prophecy, she becomes extremely ambitious, and wants to murder Duncan. Duncan then comes to stay at Macbeth's castle, and Lady Macbeth convinces him to commit the murder. Macbeth finds the strength to kill the king while in his sleep and shortly after the two are interrupted by a knocking at the door. After the word of the death is spread, the king's two sons, Malcolm
Finally, Macduff is able to find Macbeth. Macduff is out seeking vengeance for the death of his family. Of course when they encounter, they first talk because that’s just how Shakespeare’s plays are. They have to talk before they die. But Macduff finally gets his revenge. He stabs Macbeth with a dagger and then decapitates him. He takes the head with him and presents it to everyone to let them know that he is really dead and
Macbeth is a play written by Shakespeare that is set in eleventh century Scotland. In the play, the witches give Macbeth numerous prophecies that are malicious designs to provoke Macbeth towards his demise. This is done through giving Macbeth thoughts of treason against the king, telling him to secure the kingdom from Banquo and his descendants, and giving him a false sense of invincibility against his enemies. If it was not for the witches prophecies guiding Macbeth he would have never murdered Duncan and Macbeths life would not have been a tragedy.
Macbeth is told by the witches for him to seek the throne the only thing in the way is king Duncan. Macbeth then tells his wife about the witches prophesy. Lady Macbeth then eggs Macbeth on into killing king Duncan to take the throne now. Lady Macbeth tells him she will slip drugs into the guards drinks and will give Macbeth the clear signal when he can murder king Duncan.
Macbeth, a hero at the opening of the play, is told by three "weird sisters" that he will become great. Macbeth then acts upon this prophecy and it comes true, which soon leads Macbeth to his disastrous downfall, the ambition of Lady Macbeth also influences him and Macbeth then unwillingly murders King Duncan. Macbeth (now king) kills many other supposed enemies, innocent woman and children, even his own best friend Banquo, all to secure his position as king, which we know the original Macbeth would not have done. Further prophecies by the three witches persuade Macbeth into believing that he cannot be killed, but in act five, scene eight, we discover Macduff was "from his mother's womb untimely ripped" who then kills Macbeth in battle, and Lady Macbeth has already committed suicide.
