“Hello ladies and gentlemen, here we are today with one the families of the three out of four people that died four years ago. May I have the honors of introducing Aiden Williams.” “Aiden, welcome. Thank you for coming here.” “Thank you, my pleasure to be here.” “So tell us, how’ve you been in these last 4 years.” “I’ve been good, it’s a little tough, but I’m getting there.” “So Aiden, tell us, what happened 4 years ago on April 15” I was the only one awake in my house as my wife, Vanessa, and my daughter, Amanda, were still sound asleep after a long night last night. My main focus was on trying to find Vanessa and make sure my family was okay. But then I see Vanessa on the floor. Blood is everywhere, and a woman trying to help her. I go to her as quick as I can. “Aiden!” She says in a weak voice. “Yes, it’s me. Everything will be okay.” I told her as tears were rolling down my cheeks. “Mommy,” Amanda says crying “Are you okay?” “Yes baby. I just have an owie, but I’ll be fine,” Amanda says in painful tears. “You’ll be okay. Remember the pain to forget it. Remember to forget. You can do this baby.” …… “That’s how it all happened. It’s still hard for me and Amanda to get over it. But we have to remember to forget right?” I said through tears as I held Amanda on my lap. “That must’ve been really hard for you to say. Thank you very much I appreciate that.” The interviewer said sincerely as she wiped the couple of tears she had. “So Aiden, how has it been since this happened? What has changed?” “There has been a lot things that changed. But now me and Amanda live in a small apartment in Connecticut.” “Aiden, Amanda, I know this day has been very tough for you guys, but I want to thank you for being here and sharing your story.
