Recommended: Introduction and thesis statement for adults transitioning to college

“I was always a trouble maker in school and some of my teachers had my mother’s phone number on speed dial.” It is unbelievable that this statement was made by this quiet guy in front of me. His name is Alex Paquette. Alex was born in Los Angeles and he lived in Glendora for a few years. When he was five years old, his whole family moved out to Walnut Creek because his mother got a job in San Francisco. Moving from a big city to a relatively smaller town might seem like a big thing to a five-year-old child, but he felt glad instead as he no longer had to worry about the earthquakes. It was a regular morning, his house started shaking without any warning while everyone was still on bed. In the next second, he could hear that everything was falling off the shelves and his bunk bed was swaying. Luckily, they managed to rush out the house in time and no one was injured. However, most of their belongings had broken. This is the most serious earthquake Alex had experienced and probably the closest moment between life and death in his life so far. …show more content…

One time, he even caused the bathroom flooding by flushing a girl’s pants that he found somewhere else down the toilet. Who will imagine that the naughty boy will turn into an ambitious and mature guy today in just a few years? Now, Alex is majoring in Communications at Diablo Valley College and he is going to transfer to four year university by the coming fall.
