The legalization of alcohol took place after prohibition during the 1920s. Decades later, alcohol has been proven to have many negative effects on our society. Making alcohol illegal is not a topic that is discussed often because I feel that Canadians are unaware of the dreadful effects that alcohol can have. I will prove some of these negative issues related to alcohol. Some which include, health problems, substance abuse and drinking and driving. Since its legalization, countless studies have been done, which has proven alcohol to be an addictive substance.
