The legalization of alcohol took place after prohibition during the 1920s. Decades later, alcohol has been proven to have many negative effects on our society. Making alcohol illegal is not a topic that is discussed often because I feel that Canadians are unaware of the dreadful effects that alcohol can have. I will prove some of these negative issues related to alcohol. Some which include, health problems, substance abuse and drinking and driving.
