Certain things in commercials, music videos, movies, and even political ads can help create an undeniable mood, gain attention, or persuade the audience. The presidential campaign ads that can be seen on television are well made and have immense impacts on the viewers. Campaign ads have been used for a number of years; as a result, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump use ads to gain more support from voters. However, some campaign ads are more effective than others. The campaign ad “I Love War” attacks Donald Trump, and this ad is the most effective one due to the use of images and image enhancers, music, phrasing, and display of text. At the end of the video text is displayed that says “DANGEROUS. UNFIT TO BE PRESIDENT” with the word “unfit” in red. This is the producer’s last effort to inform people of the instability of Donald Trump. The use of the color red a strong choice because the red has the underlying meaning of danger, war, power, and determination. The use of red on the word “unfit” gives the viewers a feeling of dread about Donald Trump due to the deep feeling that the color red brings to people. Red is also the color of blood, and the producer is implying that blood will be spilled if Trump were to become president because he is dangerous. In addition, another productive display of text is “Nuclear, just the power, the devastation, is very important to me.” The producers choice to emphasize on this quote is crucial because it shows the audience that Trump is interested in seeing people devastated. Viewers can also make the implication that Trump is power hungry because of the tone in which he says the quote as well. Audience members may also question why the devastation of people and things are so important to him. This is extremely effective because it is proving that Trump should not be able to be in charge of the nuclear weapons, which is one of the producer’s goals.
