Exploring the world out of one comfort zone is a great way to learn. To form a career path, one must learn of what he or she like or dislike, and the greatest way to learn is by exploring. A gap year will provide much more than a classroom ever can. Also, students can learn a lot in classroom but it is not efficient until put in to practice in a real world that make them understand. Even though, high school offers a similar program called job shadowing. It is only a short period of time, and most of the time students are unable to have hands on experience. After graduating from high school, students are faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to continue on with their education. And if they do decide to continue on with their education, what form of education will they choose. There are a variety of different options open to students each accompanied by their own pros and cons. These options include; no school, 4-year university, or 2-year community college.
Most kids highly dislike changes in their school schedules. If a school were to take a vote most students would vote no to a year round school schedule. This paper shows the reasons why i am against year round schooling. One reason is that most teenagers work during summer vacation so they can afford the things they want. However, when the school year starts in the fall, many students find that they have forgotten what they have learned in the past school year. Summer vacations impact learning and development in both negative and positive ways. Although summer vacations can cause learning loss, it is still beneficial to learning and development by promoting creativity and independence.
As we begin to grow up and come to the end of our high school career we must start to begin to start thinking about what type of career we want to be in. It is very important that a person picks the right type of career for them. Otherwise you will be unhappy with what you are doing and will not enjoy it at all. I am not entirely sure what I want my career to be but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be.
