Presidents have been elected or 227 years, each one of them making some sort of impact on the country, the government and the citizens. However, the question still remains, which president was the strongest amongst the rest? Having to choose between Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and George washington, the obvious choice of the stronger president is Abraham Lincoln. Not only did Lincoln serve during a tragic time in the countries history which was the civil war and had the potentional to tear the country in half, he also abolished slavery, and he was always sure to make sure his candiacy wasn't two sided by electing officials who had differing viewpoints. This was his greatest accomplishment because the country was able to move on past this rough patch in history, prosper, and thrive. "Lincoln made a stand against the unpopular opinion of the time, a decision that would divide the nation" (Stone 5). Lincoln took the minority opposition against slavery and stood by it. No matter what people said, no matter what people believed, and no matter that what people did he still remained next his beliefs and that makes him incredibly strong. Also, not only did he merely stand by these unpopular beliefs, he also acted on it, and announced the abolishing of slavery which was a huge milestone for America. However, they to had influential achievements and they were extremely strong in office, the abolishment of slavery, his candidacy tactics and his ability to strongly serve in the middle of the civil war makes him the strongest president by far. George washington did too achieve great things, he was commander in chief and he also helped win against the british with a surprise attack, however almost all of his achievements were military based. The president had many more duties and things he should've accomplished than just serve in the army. However, he did have outstanding servive in the military, a president whom's almost all achievements were in combat, isn't the strongest and not even able to compare to the achievements of Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Jefferson however, had an extreme amount of accomplishments. He was an impressive man with many things behind his name, but not even comparable to Lincolns abolishment of slavery.
