Abortion: Prolife

621 Words2 Pages

It was a Saturday morning two days before his seventeenth birthday, he heard someone going up the stairs it was his girlfriend. He could tell by the look on her face that something serious was going on, she soon told him “I am pregnant.” His girlfriend was looking forward to going to college and he was dreaming of college NFL. He decided to drop out of high school and she was going to keep everything a secret until later on. As time progressed, he was almost finished with his training and was ready to graduate; however, he received a phone call from his girlfriend weeping all he could hear her say is “I am sorry, it was not me.” Her father was in the other line and exclaimed “I know your secret and your secret is gone! She had an abortion!” Her father made her get an abortion. His heart was completely broken because the baby was the one that kept him going. What would not sink to his head was that what had happened to his baby was legal. He called her and told her,” I promise you even if no one else cares about abortion, and even if it takes me the rest of my life, I will put an end to abortions for our daughter.” He decided to go around, knock on doors, and talk about how abortion is a crime. He soon realized that he could not keep his promise, but he does know that if everybody works together they will see a transformation of their culture into a Culture of Life. If they all commit themselves they will see full legal protection for the human person, from the child in the womb, to the child in her mother’s arms, from the embryo to the elderly. This is based on a true story (La Rosa de Guadalupe). It is really sad what an abortion can do, it leaves a huge scar in people’s lives and sometimes they end up regretting it.
