AT&T, American Telephone and Telegraph, is a top 15 Fortune 500 company, and has been for the past several years. AT&T was founded in eighteen fifty-five as apart of American Bell. The company’s goal was to create a long distance telephone network across the country. AT&T has far exceeded this goal, and offers some of the best coverage nationally, in the United States, as well as internationally, on every continent except Antarctica. AT&T not only covers telephone service they now also offer cable and internet options. The most effective would probably be incentivising employees’ healthy choices and lifestyles. Another very effective method would be providing support and educating employees on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle can lead to a longer life or an increase in the quality of life. If employees knew that this healthy lifestyle was in their best interest, instead of the employers then they will be more motivated in living a healthier life instead of if they believe it just in the benefit of their employers. While employees should be encouraged to live healthy lives, and incentivising is a good idea, they should not be punished if they cannot live unhealthy lifestyles. It is easier for some people to maintain a healthy weight or maintain a healthy levels of activity than others, and it isn’t fair for those employees to be punished because they struggle. For example employees who struggle with mental health, cannot control how that carries over into their physical health, and should not be punished for effects beyond their
