Character Analysis of Meg Murry Throughout the novel, A Wrinkle In Time, Meg shows heroine even when meg doubts herself. In the novel, Meg’s fears are faced when she kills IT. Meg uses her fears to get through the journey and save Charles Wallace. Meg realizes that her dad can not save her, but realises that he can not save Meg. Meg becomes more independent. Throughout the novel, A Wrinkle in Time, Meg proves to be a character who shows bravery, learns self-confidence, and understands love. Meg shows bravery and heroine. Meg will be courageous enough to fight the black thing. This reveals that Meg shows bravery. It states in the book that “... she stuffed her fists into her pockets, and walked along behind the two boys.” (87) This reveals that the whole outcome of the whole story might change. In addition it says “But I do understand.”(149) This reveals that Meg makes her own decisions no matter what Mrs Which, What, and Who think. Meg understands love. Meg will have more gratefulness for her family. This reveals that meg shows love for charles. “Charles, I love you.” (160) This reveals that Meg has love for charles. "That it has to be me. It can't be anyone else. I don't understand Charles, but he understands me.” (149)This reveals that Meg has confidence that she can save Charles Wallace.
