All teachers know their students; you have the ones that try and the ones who don't try enough. Or the kids in the middle of the spectrum.Who love watching movies and are visual learners. Teachers must have students read the book then watch the movie for a better, visual, understanding. In the play, A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry students have different parts in the book as this makes them more involved. Still students might read the book, but not fully understand it. These students tend to be visual learners which teachers must take into consideration. As this is crucial for all students to get a deeper meaning of both the pay and the movie. Reading the play than watching the movie. The audience was shocked to see how the emotions came acrossed in the movie compared to the play. As in the play, it is hard to see how emotions are coming across. In the play where Walter and Bobo are crying. Trying to figure out what's next in the future for their families without the money. However, in the movie Bobo goes to see Walter, and tell him about Willy Harrison. In this scene Walter is more violent and pushing Bobo.As he is frustrated trying to understand the news. Emotions were a key part in the movie to catch as they were very different from the play. Also, different from the play is the plot. At the end of the book Mama grabs her plant. As her plant is her prized possession besides her kids. She would not even think to forget it. Yet, in the movie Mama walks out of the house with it. Walter willingly grabs the plant and gives it to Mama. This shows how Walter is the man of the house and takes care of everyone. It also shows how Walter matures throughout the movie. These differences show how it is important to read the play then watch the movie as it is good for students to see both
