She is a peace-loving woman, but because of several dangerous events she encountered, she decided to carry a pistol. She is definitely an expertise on this subject because she had many experiences getting sex assault. She wrote this article for women and the people who against owning guns. She was camping with another women, but their neighbor ruin their enjoyment by talking about sexy assualt them during the night. This event taught her that camping was not safe even with another woman, and she also mentioned that her spray cans of deodorant weren’t enough to protect them. She then gave an example of a woman who had a flat tire and called for help on her CB radio. Unfortunately that woman got a rapist who left her beaten. This story is sad but it taught her not to use the CB radio. She then gave an example that she got followed by a car. The passenger in that car flashed a blinding spotlight in her face, and a group of man come out. From that night, she realized that the locked car doors were useless if she was trap, because those men could break the windows easily. After that, she talked about the story about she asking a man with a shotgun to leave politely. Then she realized that she could have been killed and no one will notice. She then tell us that kung fu is useless against rapist, because in order to use martial arts you have to be extremely close. Beating a strong man is not easy for a skinny woman even she is really good at martial art. She gave an example of several women who were extremely well trained in the martial arts, but were raped and beaten anyway. After those events, she decided to get a gun. She continued to carry a pistol because the pistol saved her life once. She gave an example of the drunk people on the highway. Those men were about to reach the handle inside her door, then she show them her gun and use it to point at the cans on the highway.
