Everyone has a place where they feel all the weight lifted off their shoulders. When you 're at that special place all the worries in your life suddenly feel gone. At times you may see paintings or hear songs of it. For me, my happy place to escape reality is the beach. The beach is more than just a vacation spot, it’s a place full of serenity. Last month I was in Newport, California, for ten days. Almost every day we went to the beach and some mornings I went for a jog along the water. It seemed easier to keep going because of the breathtaking aroma. In the mornings it was muggy and the fog lied over the calm water far-out. One day at the beach I was taking everything in. A gust of fresh ocean air breezed over me and the shivers came up my body. The wind took my blond hair and it went back behind me tickling my spine. The sun was peaking through the only two clouds in the sky. I felt the radiance of the UV rays shining down and my skin getting crispy. It was not humid, it was rather a dry hot. The sun was getting warmer and not a cloud was in the sky. More people began to pile in and enjoy this beautiful nature. Some came to the beach for recreational activities as others seemed to just enjoy their time. As I reached back to my family they had gone to get ice cream and got me a sundae, but it was practically melted by the heat. We all got up after finishing and went on to the volleyball courts. Playing many games, we were all worn out. We all decided to go in the water and ride the waves to cool off. The waves were dying down so they were not as harsh.
