This story took place primarily in world war two. This was about January of 1930, through October of 1940. Living in world war two was hard. Times were tough. This story takes place in the fictional German town Molching. Molching is a suburb of Munich. One thing that I really enjoy about this story is that I’m not left confused. The whole time I know exactly what’s going on because the author really incorporates the whole world war two and German theme in the story. CLIMAX The climax of this story takes place near the end; it is the most exciting part of the story. Liesel runs into Max who is her best friend. He is surprisingly being marched to a concentration camp. This concentration camp is precipitating a crisis in her where she begins to

Hans is sent to war as his punishment and Alex Steiner is also conscripted for not permitting Rudy be part of a special training school. With Hans and Max gone, Liesel does her best to go on. She reads to the inhabitants of Himmel Street in the bomb shelter during air raids, robs food with Rudy, and helps Rosa who is devastated by Hans’s departure. The last book she steals is called “The Last Human Stranger” at this point she is frustrated and
The climax of this book is when Violet Klaus and Sunny are walking to the taxi parting with Mr. Poe. This is the climax of the book because this was the highest point of interest and appeal. The author, Lemony Snicket, uses details and delays the end to an extent where you become very anxious to read the story.

Most of the book is focused inside the bunker where Hitler is weakened by a failed assassination attempt, while German soldiers were traveling through the Ardennes Forest in Luxembourg in an effort to win the war. Additionally, it gives details about the last desperate attempt of Hitler to turn the tide of the war and keep Germany away from the Americans and the Russians; and, why Hitler thought the Jews were to blame for all of Germany’s
