The debate over changing the price of minimum wage has been looked over and talked about for many years. Some people are against changing the minimum wage price and some people agree with changing the minimum wage price. There are pros and cons about the discussion of changing minimum wage. Minimum wage was $5.15 an hour and in 2007 the minimum wage was raised to $7.25 an hour. Today people all over the world are discussing if the minimum wage should be raised to $9 an hour or $10 an hour.
People who work at McDonald’s are minimum wage employees and some of them are students in high school or college. Some McDonald’s employees are full time workers and that’s all the money they make in a year. Employees who are students in high school or college, really don’t need but $7.25 an hour. Most high school or college students still live with their parents and their parents help them out with money. Employees who are full time and work 30 hours a week for $7.25 an hour, only make $10,440 a year. Honestly, that isn’t enough to make a living on. ...t. College students who are going those extra years of school to get a real job with a degree in their job, needs to be the ones making the better money and that’s only right. Someone who drops out of high school should be making the lesser amount of money. Nobody forces you to drop out of school, to get your GED, or to not go to college. You are the person who has to make better for your future. If you want more money and better money, go to school and get a better education. Someone who has a degree in nursing, should be making more than $7.25 an hour, because they have worked hard enough and achieved that privilege. I am definitely against them raising minimum wage. College and high school students can get by with $7.25 an hour. Someone who is getting $7.25 an hour for a full-time job, needs to go back to school and get a degree in something to make better money!
