to purchase land, and own it throughout our lives, and pass it on to future generations. As the owner of the land you have rights to it, and can build as you please.
“Lean” Mindset
A huge contrast in the way of life and how business is run in the U.S. and China are the lean practices we’ve adopted in American. One of the biggest goals corporations try to achieve is doing more with less. Because of the sheer number of people in China (1.6 Billion), they want to create as many jobs as possible. Here in the U.S. we believe in streamlining work practices, being very efficient, using minimal manpower as needed, and introducing robots and other machinery to eliminate the need for a person to have to do the job.
To observe the Chinese at work in many instances you’d think they were inefficient, you’d be right. This is a planned inefficiency; to create jobs for its citizens. I first noticed this concept while on the way out of a hotel in Shenzhen; I facetiously made a comment to my co-worker that China was very behind in its technology. The technology or lack of technology in particular was a manual gate that was manned by a person; instead of having an automatic gate. The gate had a counter-weight block on one end which required the worker to disengage a lever in order to raise and lower the gate. My co-worker began to explain to me the Chinese philosophy behind why the gate was not automatic. The Chinese government puts mandates on employers to implement ways in which to create as many jobs as they can, there are also incentives that encourage such practices.
There were many examples of ways in which the Chinese use antiquated methods in order to preserve jobs that I notice while I was in China. I observed ...

... that because China is a communist nation, there are no guarantees that any investment can stay clear of government intervention. The Chinese government has a big influence on its stock market. An instrument could be performing very well, however the government could decide it’s doing too well and put a halt on the stock’s performance.
In summary, China has a lot to offer. The citizens of China are wonderful people. China is rich in history and cherish relationships. We rely on China, as much as China relies on us. We must continue to work together for the benefit of both our economies. I personally look forward to many more endeavors into China in the near future. Because China is so big, I’m sure I’ll learn just as much in my upcoming visits as I learned this first time. I’m eager to document the events of my next visit, and compare them to this one.
He told me that he gained a new appreciation for the struggles of the Chinese people, the scale of the challenges which exist in this country, and the sheer scope of the potential of my country. He told me that one of the most surprising things he learned was when he was speaking with a Chinese co-worker in Beijing, and learned from him that the revolution in China in 1949 which ushered in the era of communism by Chairman Mao is referred to by Chinese people as the Liberation of China. It was shocking for a westerner like him to hear about Communism being referred to in a positive light. All his life, he grew up with the assumption that democracy was the best, and Communism was

“China is a nation that appears to be severing its roots by destroying its past. Demolition and construction were everywhere on such a scale that I was unsure if what I was seeing was being built or destroyed, destroyed or built ... And yet, paradoxically, the Chinese have traditionally had a deep identification with their native soil and an attachment to place.”
The article also give snap shot of the foreign companies who misjudge the Chinese culture, competition, size the market, and some other factors, have been badly affected by investing in china.
Throughout the film ancient China’s profound history and glorious culture has displayed through various cultural elements. The martial arts, writing system, architecture all together gives an image of the Chinese culture. The developments and advanced techniques have shaped the country and stabilized the society. China has accomplished some of the greatest achievements of mankind. It had also made significant contribution to the development of advanced systems around the world. Chinese culture is very unique. All the elements presented in the film have truly strengthened my understanding of the Chinese
China also provided a labor force that is able to tackle both white-collar and blue-collar job positions. This made foreign companies rush both monetary and technological resources into China to utilize the manufacturing and development power. Both Microsoft and Sun have created research and development centers to implement and design software applications in China. Domestic companies are not far behind either, for example, China's own Evermore Software is on the rise to challenge Microsoft's office suite with its own.4
...erally felt united in the common cause of building up China (Fairbank and Goldman 369).Fully 8 years were wasted in terms of economic growth and the cost of opportunity loss was enormous. Considering that this setback occurred when other Asian countries were taking off economically(Chan3).
‘For Australian businesses looking to expand their operations overseas, China is a more attractive location than India.’ To what extent do you agree with this statement? Justify your answer.
Comparison of American and Chinese Cultures Cultural differences are apparent from one group of people to another. Culture is based on many things that are passed on from one generation to the next. Most of the time, people take for granted their language, beliefs, and values. When it comes to the cultural differences of people, there is no right or wrong. People should be aware of others culture and respect the differences that exist between them.

Just as the cell is basic for life, being efficient is the basic factor of all hard workers. This is extremely important, it ties in with the other factors of the hard worker. Bosses look for people who are efficient, people who get the job done the best and fastest way. Efficiency is not only better and faster but it is also cheaper. I worked for a gentleman that always told me "In today’s world it’s better, faster, and cheaper", and I can prove that true today in anything that is done, for example anything that used to be done by people on such as an assembly line was done with human labor, this has now changed to computerized robots. Because it is cheaper to have a robot that only requires a little bit of maintenance now and then compared to a person that has to have benefits, lunch breaks, and other such luxuries.
China's development is praised by the whole world. Its developments are not only in the economic aspect, but also in its foreign affairs. Compared to other developed countries, China is a relatively young country. It began constructing itself in 1949. After 30 years of growth, company ownership has experienced unprecedented changes.
It is true to say that globalisation is a two-way street. As international business and trade continue to grow, models of organisations and approaches to management are beginning to merge; nevertheless it remains imperative for firms to understand and govern across the myriad of cultural differences which still exist. These differences seem most apparent in China, where managerial values are deeply rooted in archaic and powerful culture. Some authors argue that even with a certain degree of convergence between Chinese and Western cultures, such convergence does have its restrictions.
...st and stand in the world. It is predicted that China will one day be the largest economy growing country in world. They continually growing and rebalancing their world to be the best. The growth of economy will depend on the Chinese government comprehensive economic reforms that more quickly accelerate in China transition to a free market economy.
