The most common problem in today’s world in the schools is the lunch program that they now have. Students in which are currently complaining they are not receiving enough to eat at school. Kids do not like the fact that there is no other food choices to pick from anymore. These students are hardly feeling full from these meals. These young age children, and teenagers are required to be receiving the right amount of food. So that children, and teenagers are acquiring the required amount of nutrients that they need to grow, and to be stronger.
The schools do not really have a choice in any of this matter. Due to their food being provided by the government, school can’t control this. Most that a school can really do is try ordering the food items …show more content…

Sets up the students to the risk of starving since they have nothing else to eat. If they do take a lunch, there’s not hardly anything on their trays. Portion sizes are continuing to decrease and may seem like every school year it becomes worse. With all of the schools serving a healthier meal course for lunch should have been thought out a lot out more. So far none of this has worked out for anyone’s parents and students are not happy that there better off packing a lunch.
Usually most of the students in the school will eat a lot if they are older. The younger kids will most likely eat a little less, but sometimes it’s pretty close. The biggest downside that the students do not like at all is how they are served the healthier food. Due to this the kids have no interest in eating any of it, by having healthy food these children are not receiving enough food to eat. Some of the children who eat these types of food at home or will just eat everything since they know there isn’t anything else. Other students will just wait till either they are home, and will find something to eat. The teenagers who can drive themselves will either eat out at McDonald’s, or subway after school if they skipped eating at school. In that case, then no one is really eating healthy, or having there required items in a meal. Which are: Fruits, vegetables, protein, grain, and dairy.
The schools have brought doctors into figuring out whether or not this is affecting growth in children. These aspects of growth and development include: behavior, abilities, weight, and habits. The fact of how Mrs. Obama is trying to help change these children. The way that she is coming about this problem she is trying to force a change way too fast. The outlook that Michelle had is for children and teenagers to become athletic and are also less likely to be sick a lot.
