Its let the government spend money for things that may not benefit the citizens and never assist them to improve their country. Taxpayers cost them a lot every year which makes Americans feel uncomfortable because they spend a huge amount of money. For example, Hayakawa states, “ The Canadian government has estimated its bilingual costs to be nearly 400,000,000 per year.”. Government instead of spending money to build their country or to provide to the citizens a peaceful lives, they spend it in other unnecessary things. Such as, translators in school and hospitals and multilingual voting ballots. For instance, Bilingual education definition according to Stephen Krashen he noted, “it can mean any use of two languages in school – by teachers or students or both – for a variety of social and pedagogical purposes.”. Bilingual education may affect students positively in many ways. Moreover, it can expand student’s knowledge , make them creative and successful.
