Reflection Paper On Basketball

Throughout my high school career, I have participated in two Varsity sports: basketball and track. Basketball is the most important sport that I participate in out of the two because I enjoy it the most. I have been on Varsity in track ever since I started the sport Sophomore year. I run track to keep in shape and due to the other athletes in the sport. I have been playing basketball since fourth grade. It has become a major part of my life and has made me the person I am today. I have learned many life lessons from this sport and about being a team player. There have been many moments over the past years, but when I started high school the enjoyable moments increased. Senior year has been my first year on the Varsity team in basketball. It showed my contribution to the team and my determination with not giving up on scoring, when we are down by many points. I am passionate about basketball and put my heart and soul into playing my best at all times. I become frustrated when I do not play or mess up when playing. I am hard on myself and hold high expectations because not only am I a captain, but I am a senior and should be a leader on my team. When I am on the bench and not playing, I am the loudest player cheering and encouraging those who are playing because I know that I would want my teammates cheering for me. I stand up and congratulate other players on shots made, good defense and sportsmanship during their playing time. I am a player with spunk that never stops to make everyone on the team feel important and to tell them how well they are doing.
