kids all around the U.S. Is late for school in the morning, because school starts early in the morning. Most students don't get enough sleep at night. The average student should get 8-9.5 hours of sleep each night. If not getting enough sleep students will be tired or not pay attention in school.

More than 50% of students tended to have better grades and attendance in the 20th century and had less accidents and got the recommended hours of sleep that their suppose to get. Now kids are more likely to get in car crashes falling asleep while driving because of not enough sleep at night. This is school should start later than 8-8:30 a.m.

Many people argue that starting schools later will let students get more sleep and align with the students sleep cycles. But they do not factor in that students will just stay up later at night because they know that they do not have to get up as early in the morning. This will just leave students with less sleep than before.
Some people may believe that starting school later wouldn't help kids and would waste money, by really they are wrong because it can give students much needed sleep.
