The Trial of Joan of Arc is about a young woman named Joan, or the maiden as she called herself, who led the French in victory during the Hundred Years War. She claimed that she heard the voice of God tell her to do so. She first heard the voice at 13 years old which she later said belonged to Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret. After three times of hearing the voice, she claims she knew that it was an angel. She believed that the voice was sent from God. The French, who she led to victory, believed that she was influenced by God, while the English believed that it was the work of the devil.
