When titanic hit the iceberg she began to take on tons of water per second and it happened in one of the first boiler rooms near the front of the ship, of all the compartments punctured there was the boiler room, the mail room, and the storage compartment. When she began taking on water the passengers were not worried for they had heard that she was unsinkable. It wasn’t until they started to feel her tipping and crew member telling them to get to the decks did they start to worry whether or not they would survive. In all of the confusion the band that was on board decided to play so as to keep the other passengers calm, they never made it out alive.
