Pediatric Dentistry is a fantastic job for me considering how much I adore children, the median annual wage is excellent, and dental hygiene is greatly preeminent to me. I have located a quote from the Bureau of Labor Statistics that illustrates the wages of a pediatric dentist. “The median annual wage for dentists was one hundred fifty nine thousand seven hundred and seventy dollars in May 2016. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest ten percent earned less than sixty seven thousand six hundred and sixty dollars, and the highest ten percent earned more than two million eight thousand dollars” (Bureau of Labor Statistics). In my opinion, I presume that the yearly wage is a miniscule factor in the reason I have chosen this career, the main factor is that I know I will enjoy becoming a pediatric dentist. Pediatric Dentists work exceedingly arduously at their job. They must keep a child calm while there are intimidating instruments inside of the child's mouth. I can remember coming to school and hearing all my classmates talk about how much they hated going to the dentist. Going to the dentist was one thing that I have always loved to do. The sound of the tools and just the smell of the clinic was never a bad atmosphere to me, I actually enjoy the dentist. Laura was my first dental hygienist from as far back as I can remember, and she had the whitest teeth I have ever seen! I have honestly came to the conclusion that I am obsessed with teeth. I always get the question, “Why would you want to look in somebody’s mouth all day?” After I hear this question and then I start thinking to myself.
