Determined. Detrimental. Dentists. Whenever we think of dentists, there is a negative connotation. They are deemed of being evil and malicious; no one seems to enjoy going to the dentist. However, teeth play a major role in our everyday lives. Teeth are vital for our health and longevity. The dentists are the ones to make sure our teeth are healthy. The exciting world of dentistry is not one to be underestimated. Being a dentist is a good career in terms of growth and salary. Additionally, you get to help out others in need. However, being a dentist requires certain abilities and requires a higher level of education compared to other jobs.
Being a dentist is a prestigious job and the rewards are high. Money Magazine in 2010, listed dentistry on its list of the 20 highest paying professions with an average salary of $142,000. Additionally, full time dentists spend approximately 36 hours per week in their practices.
