There is a range of different types of leadership styles. You have Autocratic leadership where an individual makes all the decision making allow and does not consider what input others have. This type of leadership is where an individual is concerned with the task only. Then there is Democratic leadership where everyone is able to have an input in the decision making process. This is a balanced concern concerning a task but also with the employees. Laisse-Faire style is the last type of leadership where the task is not a concern, the employees are the only concern in this type of leadership.
Leadership Style
I consider myself having democratic leadership. This is a type of leadership where all the individuals take more of a participative role in the decision making process. I do not like to make decisions alone; I like when everyone is able to put their input into the decision process. I believe that the policies for the agency need to be followed at all times in order to keep everyone safe. I do not like to be pushy or act like I am better than everyone, I feel like everyone should share the responsibility to to get the job done. Over all I feel like it takes the whole time to work together as a whole in the decision process.

This type of leadership requires everyone to work together as a team. Each member of the team is encouraged to set goals that are reachable with this type of leadership in the work environment. When the democrat leadership is the type used the employer is more likely to keep their employees for longer periods due to employees feeling like they are important and able to have input in decision making.
