When I first heard that I was eligible to join the National Honor Society I was quite shocked. The opportunity to join this organization has opened my eyes of all the hard work, classes and grades that I earned. I would be a very valuable member to this organization, who can provide all my great traits while still learning more. I am a well-rounded student, who excels in all four qualities NHS contains, character, scholarship, leadership, and service. My true character is seen throughout my daily life by following moral I have learned. I always treat my teachers, family, and peers with the greatest respect. My scholarship is easily recognized by my heavy workload in all my pre-AP/AP classes while still being able to continually exceed. My leadership …show more content…
My service is appreciated by my church where I have volunteered for years in many projects. Growing up my parents always taught me valuable lessons that have developed my character. Such as learning right from wrong, getting what you put in, humbleness, moral integrity, discipline and of course manners. All these have built and shaped my character into the person I am today. Learning right from wrong is very important to understand to be able to make right decisions. Making correct decisions isn’t just about what is best for you in the present but what is most beneficial for you based on your past, the present, the future and your surroundings; whether making small or big decisions this is crucial. Being humble and having integrity are two of the toughest characteristics to maintain. Providing a specific level of humbleness is important where you are still able to accept that you do not know everything. It is very easy to take credit, show off, and be close-minded. A prideful person expects rather than to appreciate certain things and takes everything for granted, causing them to be blind to their surroundings. I am always open to hear other peoples’ opinions and their point of views in certain situations and in everyday
The four pillars of the prestigious National Honor Society demonstrate the traits I hope to continually develop: as a scholar, a leader, a volunteer and a person of strong moral fiber. I believe myself to be mature and motivated; I have an unyielding commitment to scholarship and intend to make a difference in the lives of everyone around me. The prospect of becoming a member has prompted me to take a look upon what I wish to accomplish as a part of this organization. By becoming an active participant, my goal is to enrich my school experience by means of volunteering in the community, serving as a role model for my peers, and fostering pride for our school.
I am writing to inform you of my possible contributions to the National Honor Society and my interest in becoming a member. I view myself as a strong minded individual with a strong incentive to learn. Acquiring the ability to learn fast and adapt quickly has enabled me to be a part of a wide range of organizations. My participation and loyalty to the NHS could result in a great strive forward. I could provide more ideas of services to benefit the school and our community. I would also devote a large portion of my free time to the organization and assist in any way possible. Whether that means coming in early in the morning or staying late after school, I would do any means necessary to show my commitment.
I am honored to be among the students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit that this is a group that I have been anticipating joining since the beginning of my high school career. I believe that I deserve this honor and this chance because I have worked very hard to get here. The National Honor Society is known for recognizing students with grades and praiseworthy character, I believe that I have both. My grades are a priority at school because when it comes down to it that is what I will be judged on, alongside my character and attitude. As a student athlete, I pride myself on being a good role model, not just in my home and school, but also in my community. I have participated in many activities that served
It is with great honor to be considered among the students of my class to be a part of the National Honor Society. the National Honor Society (NHS) has been an organization that has displayed great interest to me, with new leadership skills and responsibilities to take upon. I believe that I hold the leadership skills, service, character, and academic excellence that is required to become a member of the National Honor Society.
The National Honors Society is based off of four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service. These are all characteristics a member of the National Honor Society should exhibit. I believe that I possess all of these characteristics and should be given the chance of becoming a NHS member. This has also been a goal of mine since freshman year and would mean a lot to me to be apart of such a prestigious organization.
National Technical Honor society is a prestigious club. Having the opportunity to apply for this prestigious society had left one honored. Being in such a prestigious program will open many more doors, and give one more opportunity to succeed in the future. I feel that all the candidates for this prestigious program have the grades and are all capable of being part of this program, but I also feel that by describing my unique set of skills I can merit membership into National Technical Honor Society and be a beneficial member.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
When I think of NHS, leadership, character, community, and role modeling are all things that come to mind. Being a part of the National Honors Society will help me do just that. I have worked hard for outstanding grades, citizenship, and becoming a leader and role model for other classmates. That is why I believe I deserve a spot in the National Honor Society community.
Reaching my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of pride both academically and personally. As a person I have ambition, academic excellence, and great decision making skills to offer to the NHS. For example, ever since I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society I have been striving to do my academic best for a chance to be in the NHS. I show this with my 4.0 G.P.A that I have held for six straight quarters. This shows my determination to be a part of an organization that will better this community for future generations to come. In addition, I would be very enthusiastic about gaining new experience in leadership, community activities, and co-curricular activities. When I was a part of National Junior Honor Society I accepted as many opportunities as I could; I participated in activities such as: spray painting recycling trash cans, painting recycling boxes, sorting paper after school, and ringing the bell at Christmas time for the Salvation Army while singing Christmas carols. Furthermore, I should be a National Honor Society member because I make the right choices in everyday life. Many students all over the country make the choice to use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, but I can honestly say that I do not use any of these substances. Not only are these a danger to personal health but they are a danger to the health of the people around them, and every person making the choice to stay away from these substances keeps the society a little safer and a little healthier. Overall, my academic excellence, ambition, and ability to make impeccable decisions show that I would be an exceptional member of the NHS.
The National Honor Society upholds four pillars of excellence that all members attain; scholarship, service, leadership, and character. While these four ideals are present in all members I believe that I withhold these characteristics, as well as numerous others, which qualifies me as an ideal scholar and member of the National Honor Society. These assets are not adequately portrayed in my application, but are equally important to scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
I want to be a valuable member of Esko High School, and by joining the National Honor Society, I believe that I can further my skills, and further shape my character. This organization does great things in society and I can be apart of it. When joining I can develop important leadership skills. I am involved in many extracurricular activities and in some I hold important roles such as on the soccer team. I was chosen to be a captain by my teammates. While taking the role as being captain on the soccer team I have to lead my teammates and set good examples for everyone. This role takes a lot of responsibility and patience. I try to make everything run as smoothly as possible while keeping everyone satisfied. It’s important to me that I am a good leader and role model to my teammates. I want them to trust me and be able to come to me for anything. Joining NHS would help me be a better role model and expand my character.
I am highly honored to get a nomination for membership in the National Honor Society. When I started high school some of my goals were to learn as much as I could, try my hardest in all my classes, get involved in clubs, and find ways to serve and help the community. Weymouth High School played a tremendous role in helping me accomplish many of these goals and opened me up to new opportunities. After receiving a nomination for the National Honor Society, I realized that I have upheld the values that Weymouth High School cherishes and I will try my best to continue doing that. If I get the chance to join this organization, it will help me continue pursuing my goal of changing the in the community and the school in positive ways. At the same
Like Max, I will graduate from MATES this year and I am a member of the National Honor Society. I am also the president of the MATES Robotics Club and member of the MATES Fishing Club. In my free time I am an active member of my church, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, love to play basketball and spend time with my friends. After I graduate I will attend Rowan University and study electrical and computer engineering. I can't believe I will start college in September. As I thinking back, my love of reading, learning and volunteering has both shaped and made me the person I am today.
At First Baptist Church of Cabot all of their members get a chance to do at least one service project. Each year I have helped with different block parties in areas where there is not much for the children to have fun and play with others. At the block party I got to spend time with the kids and talk to them about home life, school, and what they do on a regular basis. It is
This valuable opportunity of joining the National Junior Honor Society will undeniably help prepare me as a future leader. In the workforce, being adept at making yourself stand apart from others is essential. The National Junior Honor Society will help me interact with others and improve communication by helping
