Leadership, Character, Service, Citizenship When I think of NHS, leadership, character, community, and role modeling are all things that come to mind. Being a part of the National Honors Society will help me do just that. I have worked hard for outstanding grades, citizenship, and becoming a leader and role model for other classmates. That is why I believe I deserve a spot in the National Honor Society community. I've always loved learning, especially math. Math has always come easy to me. Science also has never been challenging enough so I took Chemistry this year and I am planning to take physics next years. Chemistry is very challenging for me and I've had thoughts of dropping out of it, but I pushed myself and forced myself not to give NHS will offer me many opportunities for to give back to the community. One of my favorite memories in community service was visiting the elderly. We sang songs for them, cooked food, and had conversations with them and I loved it. With NHS I know that I will be continuing to help others in our community. I feel I am a good candidate for NHS because I strive to be a leadership not just in school but everywhere. I also strive to be a good model for other students and friends. I have a young sister who repeats everything I do so it is important that I am a good role model. I have always been a person to take control of a situation or a project. I love putting down the foundations for group projects and assignments and building plans/strategies . Im very good with words and defusing situations. Being a Member of the National Honor Society will help me get into a college of my choice. No one in my family has attended college and my goal is to be the first one. NHS will have me be seen as a leader and a person who is serious about their future. If I become a member of NHS, I want to be more involved with people and groups. I want to strive for the best grades. I also want to be more involved with our community here in Sedalia and neighboring
