When I was younger I absolutely hated going to the dentist. There was even one time I threw up on my dentist. We had a strained patient/dentist relationship after that. I for some crazy reason decided that I wanted to go into dentistry even after this horrible experience. By the time I was in my junior year of high school, I had found out that my school offered classes that focused on career paths. They had many options but one that caught my eye was dental assisting. This was perfect for me; I would get the chance to experience what I want to do after high school. It was the best experience I’ve ever had. This class made me certain that this is something I wanted to do. She made learning dental so much fun and I truly enjoyed it. Dental assisting is what made me so interested in dentistry, I decided to become a pediatric dentist because I love kids, I feel like I could make a good impact on them and I love seeing their big toothless smile. I just find it adorable. I plan on working hard and really putting myself out there in order to accomplish becoming a pediatric dentist. I would love to join your program to accomplish my goals. I will put my whole heart and head into becoming a pediatric dentist. Being at UofD would be best for me because it is the best choice of schools to go through for dentistry. UofD offers up so many dental programs and it does so much for it’s students. When I visited UofD when I was in my dental assisting class I was amazed by how comfortable the environment was. I was also really impressed at how UofD does dental work on people for really cheap. Which I think is good for the student because they get more practice.
