College Students Should Have the Right to Choose Their Own Class Schedule

Students have different preferences or requirements in planning their time to make their purposes. This is one of my points to support that students should have the right to right to choose their own class schedule. Some people will prefer to attend class or study during the morning while there are some people like to attend evening or night classes. While they were studying in primary and secondary school, they didn’t have any choices or minor authority in choosing their study period. Studying in college is apart of life. Therefore, students should have more freedom or right to planning the usage of their time. They will need to practice in how to planning their time for the rest of their life. For sure, they won’t be given any instructions by the others about what should be done in a particular time after they are graduated from college. And they may have the different feeling and studying in a brand new study atmosphere comparing to the earlier education system that they used to have. By the way, some of the students are graduated from the high schools years ago. They are part-time students or back to college after working for few years. They have knowledge and experience that able them to plan their time suitable. Besides, some people do need to work in ordering to gain their tuition fee or living expenses. Some of them are probably working when there were studying in secondary school. If they can choose their class schedule, many problems that are unnecessary can be avoided. For examples, they can continue with their current job and study in the same time. The most important thing is time can be saved in finding another job that fix their class schedule. Meanwhile, they can maintain the grade of subjects that required by the universities without taking the subjects that are not need and may affect their grade. Some universities do have the minimum grade requirement of subjects for those who going to transfer to them. These show that the right of choosing class schedule is needed by the students to conduct their plans.

In addition, the students’ mental growth can be strengthened if they are given the right to choose their own class schedule. The full development of the human personality, the reinforcement of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms which are shall gain more attention by the education.
