ICT's Impact in My Local Community Introduction. My name is Pius Wireko-Gyami and a boy of 15. I am come from Ghana and in a family of six. I am the second born of my parents and the first of two boys in our family. I come from a Christian family and live in a Christian neighbourhood. I live in Britannia village near the docks which is west of Silver town. It is near Canning town in the eastern part of London. Buses that comes to my area are; 474 and 69. I live in the Newham borough. Where I live is a suburb of east London and I have got a nice neighbourhood with many lovely people. The people in my area have much access to ICT some of which are internet facilities, traffic light etc. They have all these things to make the inhabitants of the area to have a comfortable life. Five years ago, our area had know traffic light and so there were many accidents and even traffic jam which indeed disturbed everyone in our area. The number of internet usage in my area is very wide. Almost every house hold has got a computer to browse on the internet with. This also helps the neighbourhood calm down since everyone would stay home and stick to their computers than rather go out and make noise disturbing other people’s peace. Method of investigation. I went to the area secretary of our neighbourhood through an interview I organised with him. The name of the secretary of my area is Lloyd Banks. He is the head of his family with two kids. He is a professor by profession and teaches at the University of East London. But quite recently, the government passed a bill again to stop this behavior. This had an impact on the way the community behaved; people who used to discriminate were sometime arrested and jailed for many years. This gave everyone in the community their equal rights to perform different functions. Conclusion. To draw the curtain closed, all that I have to say about the new technology which is about to be introduced in my community is very important to the community since it will bring a massive improvement in how people in my community will work. Access to convenient places like near by shops will have to be attended to very fast and conveniently. This new technology will do a lot of good work and their lives will change for the better because of the introduction of these equipments.
