I have been a Girl Scout for eleven years. When I joined the Girl Scouts in first grade, my parents saw it as a fun way for me to make new friends. While I did make several new friends, I also developed many skills and was exposed to new opportunities. As Girl Scouts, we do much more than sell cookies every February.
