During the clip, the couple was arguing about their relationship and how they felt about it. There were some possible costs and rewards associated with their relationship. A cost for Gary is that he works a lot because he is trying to fully support the family. He wants her not have to work one day. Gary feels like Brooke is constantly nagging him about everything and that she wants to change him. On the other hand, Brooke does not feel like she is important to him and that he is not thoughtful enough. For instance, she mentioned him not giving her flowers or picking up after himself. Brooke also feel like he is not there for her or shows up for her like she does for him. She explained to him that she want to be seen out in public together, but not a college game. Brooke wants him to go to the ballet with her, but he does not want to go. A reward for the both of them is that they both are attractive, which is probably keeping them together. A big conflict in my family deals with money. I remember growing up my parents constantly argued over money. It is one of the factors that contributed to their divorced. My dad wanted my mom to be a stay at home, but then he would throw it back in her fact that she does not work. For instance, if they did not see eye to eye on something then he would say “it’s MY money.” My mom did not like that so she went out and got her a job. My brothers and I also had sibling conflicts while we were growing up. My youngest brother and I kept arguing with my oldest brother because he felt like he could boss us around. In our eyes, he was trying to act like he was our dad. Looking back on the situation, my brother probably thought that he had to be like a father figure since my parents got a divorced. After awhile, the arguing started to die down because we started to communicate better and got along way
