Social media is undeniably convenient. All the search engines at the tip of your fingertips, but is social media really all that good for you? The answer is, no! There are limits to everything; especially social media and some people are starting not to know theirs.
Liking a friend’s status update on Facebook is not the same as picking up the phone, or better, going for a coffee, or to dinner to catch up on their lives. However, after writing on their walls and wishing them a “happy birthday” or just to say “hello” to your “friends” on Facebook, you can feel pretty tired and hesitant about real, in-person conversation.

Yes, I have also been there and done that but, there should ALWAYS come a time where you realize this is not the proper behavior and just because our society does it, does not mean that you should follow those footsteps. Instead what you should be seeing is people engaging in conversation. Why does social media revolve around our lives so much? What has our society come to that we can no longer engage in normal conversation without the use of social media? For instance, people who meet online, text for months on end and never have a conversation face-to-face, or even on the phone may find it difficult to communicate because they never spoke to each other in person. But, when that time comes for you to meet that person you become insecure and don’t think you will be able to keep up with a conversation, due to that fact that you both have been hiding behind that
