earning can be defined as alteration in behavior due to experiences and by observing other individuals behavior (Boyd). According to Ya Ni, learning can be measured in three different ways: the students outcome (which can include information such as their test scores or final grades in their courses), the students satisfaction, and the students attitude. All three measures are equally important and interlinked through a positive correlation. In other words, if students have enthusiastic attitudes when learning the material, they are more likely to do well in their exams, and therefore, have a higher satisfaction rate. This information is important when comparing the topic if students learn more through technology devices or traditional lectures. …show more content…

By learning the answer to this question, academic resources can maximized to provide the best education possible. Because each student is different, it is best to integrate as many learning techniques as possible when teaching a lesson. While examining previous studies we kept in mind that students can learn in seven different ways: visually, auditorily, physically, verbally, logically, socially, and solitarily; therefore, finding a method that can incorporate all of them can be challenging. Additionally to study this problem well, we began by learning the numerous educational methods teachers provide and see how well students attain the material. As the use of technology continues to increase, more schools are turning to different technologies to help teach or reinforce their lessons. Technology resources can include materials such as iPads, computers, or interactive web games. A reason teachers enjoyed using technology is that it allowed them to explain the material in a unique format that allowed the students’ to understand the concept better. One of the most used technology in classrooms today, besides a computer, are smart white board. These whiteboards are a computer, whiteboard, and a projector in one software. Therefore, the whiteboard allows the teacher to teach their lesson through videos, games, interactive worksheets, board games, interactive website, graphic …show more content…

For example, in many of the studies the researchers used statistical regression to the mean to recruit their participants; therefore, the affecting the internal validity of the study. Additionally because the researchers wanted the students by utilizing their idea, a lot of bias was created to get the needed results. Therefore, in order to find the answer to whether technology can help reinforce material so students can absorb the lesson better, we created an app that would help us assess if students learned more through technology or traditional lecturing style. In our study, we hypothesized that students who are exposed to engaging technology have an increase in academic performance. By having more hand-on material, students will engage and learn the material at a deeper level. Our app, Multiplication Around the World, was designed to teach students their multiplication tables through interactive lessons and games. In each level, the students will be able to apply the material to pass to the next level. Furthermore, the application will immediately correct the student when they answer a question incorrectly because allowing the students to learn from their mistake directly. By having an app that can engage students and reinforce the correct way in learning their multiplication we
