1. INTRODUCTION Finding an empty parking space is a common problem in most urban areas which especially occurs in popular areas and tourist attraction spots. This situation has become more serious especially during their peak time, be it holiday seasons ,carnivals or any other festivals. The limited availability of vacant parking spaces often result in traffic congestion. Limitation of a driver’s capability of finding a vacant parking spaces and absence of efficient management are also at fault causing this problem. So we are going to design a system which aims to improve parking facilities by the introduction of a smart car parking system. The system will automatically assign a vacant space to the patrons for parking their vehicles. The patron will be guided to the specified location by referring to variable message sign and the map and the location printed on the parking ticket, in which the whole process is monitored by a central computer to store and update the occupancy status of available parking space vacancies in the database. In short this Application allows to: • Recognize the registration number on the plate of the car. • Update local database for allocation of vacant slots. • After successfully checking out it will delete the details from the local database and update the history for security issues. • Generate the bill advice on successfully exiting The system will include software, and camera components. The installation of this software in parking facility will provide lot owners with accurate information on parking lot occupancy. Figure 1 shows the building parking space we are designing for. The technical issues usually raise in the feasibility stage of the investigation include these: Does the necessary technologies exist to do what is required (and can be acquired)? Does the proposed equipment have the technical capabilities to hold the data which is required to use the new system? Will the proposed system provide adequate responses to inquire, regardless of the no? Of location of users? Can the system be inhanced and increased if developed? Is there any technical guarantees of accuracy, reliability, ease of access, and the data security? Here we have tried to provide some better facilities to the users of the software. In fact the requirements were easily attainable. Machines successfully solve the requirement for installation. JAVA software requirement includes: Physical memory (RAM) : 1 GB Disk space : 40 GB
