Rape is something that has been taken very seriously in the United States, or may I say in the world. There are many victims that play apart of this problem. Schools are taking charge and making sure that the safety of this issue is being set. What many don’t know is that Marital Rape is also a big that can happen to girls. There are people that pay no attention to this factor because there is a marital relationship between the two. Marital Rape is affecting many women physically and emotionally because of the lack of interest people have for it. Women are having gynecological problems and socio-demographic factors because of the lack of service to the women. There has been a study at this one clinic with three hundred sixty-two married women in it to get tested for rape. The data from the tests were collected through semi structured interviews and, multiple binary logistic regression had to be analysis to see if factors of gynecological problems and marital rape had been made. The results that were studied revealed that out of 362 women, 194 experienced marital rape either everyday or sometime others were suffering from gynecological problems. If a woman has undergone rape 2.32 times, they are more likely to have experienced gynecological problems than others. What the article argues is that counsellors should be sensitive and not to be biased to the situation. Many counsellors know the situations of rape but when it comes to marital rape they can have a very strong opinion because it was within the marriage and can council them wrong saying its okay.
