Cannibalism, the nonconsensual consumption of another human's body matter. In the United States there are no laws against cannibalism, but it violates laws against murder and desecration of corpses. Cannibalism is not considered to be a felony, but is socially unacceptable. In some societies, especially tribes, cannibalism is a cultural norm. In most parts of the world cannibalism is not accepted. Although cannibalism can be a controversial top, few people know the psychology behind it.
There have been those lone individuals who find eating people absolutely satisfying. They do it because they enjoy it, they have psychopathic personalities, and they are extremely lonely. Some cannibals are psychotic. There are other theories that suggest cannibalism to be a sexual disorder and even an eating disorder. A common characteristic among many cannibals is that many of them have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or some other form of personality disorder. Cutting up the meat is sexually exciting, according to cannibals. Feeling the flesh brought many offenders to orgasm. The reason why they enjoy the removal of the skin from the skeleton results in the fact that they want to feel powerful and capable of doing something very few people have ever done. Even most serial killers do not eat their victims. So the cannibal is in the class by himself. This produces a euphoric state which activates the pleasure center in the brain. Each cut brings more good feeling. So it is common to find many smaller cuts on the body. The process is that exciting. ...t may be the only explanation. The jury deliberated for five hours and decided that Jeffrey Dahmer did not deserve to spend the rest of his life in a hospital, but in a prison cell. On all fifteen counts, Dahmer was found guilty and sane. He was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms or a total of 957 years in prison. In my opinion, I believe that Dahmer’s case is considered to be sexual and ritualistic cannibalism. Jeffrey Dahmer had sex with the corpse; he also believed that when he consumed his victims, they spiritually became a part of them. They also believed that their cannibalism allowed them to absorb some of their attributes, such as power which can relate back to aggression cannibalism.
Although disease and religion have greatly diminished the practice, it continues to be practiced worldwide. Criminal cannibalism has become the concern of the future.
