To many American voters, this upcoming election has been an eventful one and many fear for the future. This is due to the much controversy throughout the entire election. From social media battles to scandals, this election has been looked down upon by many. This is due to the fact that Republican Nominee Donald Trump is outspoken which many American’s have never seen in political leaders. Due to this fact, much backlash has occurred even from our own current president. President Barack Obama and Donald Trump have lashed out at each other not only privately but publicly. This has then since led to a multitude of stories across many media outlets and is often described as ‘Trump vs. Obama’.
The general idea from all of the news stories chosen was that there are clearly issues between the President and Donald Trump. These news stories are covered on many news outlets. This is because these topics are extremely controversial. All of these stories include a similar idea of President Obama and Donald Trump having not only political differences but personal differences as well. The stories all include President Obama commenting on Donald Trump’s many political and personal insults through speeches and even tweets within the past two months. Some include President Obama’s comment about him not showing up to the White House Correspondent dinner. “…you have a room full of reporters, celebrities, cameras. And he says no. Is this dinner too tacky for The Donald? What could he be possibly doing instead? Eating a Trump Steak? Tweeting out insults to Angela Merkel?” (CNN). Trump vs. Obama has been an ongoing battle that has been discussed among many news outlets. This is due to its relevance and impact on the American public which allow for many different but similar stories to be provided. Due to this, all sides of the political spectrum can be analyzed thoroughly and people are able to find one they agree with. Having an international source is essential because it is important to be able to analyze the situation without having an opinion. They are all very credible sources because they are very popular news outlets that are trusted. Because of this much information can be pulled from all four news sources.
