Organ Donation and its Importance

Lately have you been suffering because of something that you were either born with or can’t help? As of June of 2012 there were 126,681 patients suffering waiting for that one special person to donate their organs or organ to them so that there life can be changed and they can then live their lives to the fullest. That person whose life was changed forever, may have been waiting for that organ for months, or even year after year, for that one special phone call. You could be the next person to change someones life forever and ever. Organ donation is not only a self-fulfilling act of kindness, but if more people were to donate it’s effect it would have on others lives will have them ever grateful. Many people my have heard of Organ Donation but, do they really know what it means? Organ donation is the process in which human organs are obtained for transplant surgery. Most organs come from young, or healthy patients who suffer from brain death. Brain death is a permanent end of brain functions. Donors suffer brain death after a head injury. Organ donation affects hundreds of thousands of people and their families worldwide each year. Organ donors are able to give the gift of hope for thousands of individuals whose lives could be enhanced through tissue transplants. There are way too many people that are suffering, or are sick from waiting for an organ for a such a long period of time. The most commonly transplanted organs from a human are heart,liver,lung, and kidney. Advances in organ transplants surgery and powerful drugs to prevent organ rejections have made transplant an established medical treatment for many diseases and injuries. The fluid is made in the liver, but is stored in the gallbladder. Imagine living without a liver for an extended period time. That would be very difficult, so you personally can become a donor and save many people lives. Organ Donation is not only a self-fulfilling act of kindness, but if more people organ donated its effect it would have on others lives will have them ever grateful. In many peoples opinion organ donation is one of the greatest form of donations that is greatly needed throughout the world. Always remember what great it will do for someone and how easy it is to become a donor. Will you be the next person to make someones life what they always have wanted it to be, or the next person wishing that they would have been that great person and became an organ donor?
